The hike to Wielki Kopieniec is a beautiful route along a scenic trail, perfect for nature lovers and admirers of Tatra views. The trail begins in Toporowa Cyrhla and leads through charming, wooded areas, ultimately reaching the summit of Wielki Kopieniec, which offers a magnificent panorama of the High Tatras and part of the Western Tatras. The view from the top over the Tatra peaks and valleys is unforgettable, and the peaceful atmosphere of Wielki Kopieniec allows visitors to rest and enjoy the beauty of the mountains.

Along the way, you’ll also come across Polana Kopieniec, where remnants of old shepherding structures evoke the region’s pastoral traditions.

The trail then descends towards the Olczyska Valley, which holds a remarkable treasure – the largest karst spring on the Polish side of the Tatras, known as Wywierzysko Olczyskie. This fascinating natural spring emerges from the mountain interior, making it especially captivating for enthusiasts of Tatra geological curiosities.

For the more adventurous, the hike can be extended to include Nosal, which makes for an excellent ending to this picturesque and varied trek.

Alternatively, finishing the hike in Jaszczurówka offers the opportunity to see the famous chapel designed by Stanisław Witkiewicz in the traditional Zakopane style.
